Learn MoreA well-established international school is seeking an experienced Data & Assessment Specialist to lead and manage all aspects of student data and assessment across the campus. This role is ideal for an analytically strong educator with a deep understanding of assessment systems, standardized testing protocols, and performance reporting.
The Data & Assessment Specialist will collaborate closely with school leadership, middle leaders, and teachers to ensure accurate data collection, meaningful analysis, and effective use of assessment insights to improve student learning outcomes.
The specialist will oversee internal and external assessment processes, maintain campus-wide data systems, and ensure compliance with KHDA and school-wide assessment policies. The role ensures high-quality data management that supports instructional planning, school evaluation, and strategic decision-making.
Develop and maintain accurate data tracking sheets for all grades, phases, and subjects to support consistent assessment practices.
Oversee administration of external assessments (CAT4, Progress Tests, IBT, TALA, NGRT, NWEA MAP, etc.), ensuring smooth operations and full compliance.
Produce detailed assessment reports throughout the academic year, including analysis of internal vs. external results and longitudinal performance trends.
Deliver training for faculty and leaders on assessment literacy, data interpretation, and use of attainment and progress data.
Monitor campus-level assessment plans to ensure alignment with the School Development Plan (SDP) and Self-Evaluation Form (SEF).
Stay informed on assessment developments, updating schools on any changes to protocols or expectations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of KHDA assessment requirements and support schools in meeting all related obligations.
Ensure accuracy of all assessment-related documents and resources on platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Engage, PowerSchool, and Toddle.
Update and maintain the school assessment policy in alignment with ENS and KHDA standards.
Participate in assessment meetings, contribute to cross-campus discussions, and share updates through newsletters and briefings.
Support the school with additional data analysis related to attendance, behavior, admissions, demographics, and student destinations.
Capture and report annually on formal exam performance, including EmSAT, SAT, and AP results.
Monitor international assessments (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS), prepare summary reports, and support school action planning.
Engage with all reporting and student information systems and support development of new IT infrastructure affecting assessment processes.
Master’s degree in Education, Data Analytics, Assessment, or related field preferred (Bachelor’s minimum).
Minimum 5 years of experience in educational assessment, data analysis, school improvement, or academic performance management.
At least 3 years in a data or assessment-focused role within a school or educational organization.
Proven experience managing assessment systems, analyzing large datasets, and producing data-driven reports.
Strong familiarity with standardized tests, data cycles, and performance reporting practices.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret large volumes of student performance data.
Strong communication and presentation abilities—capable of explaining complex data clearly to leaders, staff, and external agencies.
Experience delivering professional development related to assessment or data use.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and common student information systems (Engage, PowerSchool, Toddle, NWEA, GL, IBT).
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
