Learn MoreA reputable international school is seeking an experienced Curriculum Specialist to support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of its American Curriculum (KG–12). This role is ideal for an educator with strong curriculum leadership experience, a passion for improving instructional practice, and the ability to guide teachers in delivering high-quality, standards-aligned learning experiences.
The Curriculum Specialist works school-wide, collaborating closely with academic leaders, faculty, and department heads to ensure cohesive curriculum alignment, strong instructional strategies, and improved student outcomes.
The Curriculum Specialist will play a key role in strengthening teaching and learning across all subject areas—English, Math, Science, Humanities, ICT, and Physical Education—through curriculum development, data analysis, and professional coaching.
Develop, implement, and review curriculum documents, unit plans, course content, and instructional resources aligned with school goals and high academic standards.
Analyze student performance data to monitor curriculum effectiveness and recommend instructional improvements.
Lead and support professional development related to curriculum implementation, instructional design, and innovative teaching strategies.
Ensure alignment with graduation requirements, school policies, KHDA expectations, and national educational standards.
Support the evaluation and selection of instructional materials and resources.
Facilitate collaboration between staff, including coordination with the Arabic Language Lead and Islamic Education Lead, to ensure cohesive curriculum alignment.
Maintain documentation and tracking systems for curriculum alignment and instructional practices.
Participate in strategic planning and review processes to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Prepare reports on curriculum implementation, progress monitoring, and recommended next steps for improvement.
Engage with external educational bodies and curriculum organizations to stay updated on emerging curriculum and instructional trends.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Campus Principal in support of school-wide academic goals.
Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field preferred (Bachelor’s minimum).
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience.
At least 3 years of experience in a curriculum leadership or instructional support role.
Proven experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, instructional coaching, and assessment practices.
Strong understanding of American Curriculum standards and best practices.
Ability to analyze student data and use results to inform instructional decision-making.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational technology tools.
High level of professionalism, cultural awareness, and integrity.
Demonstrated success working in high-performing, team-oriented environments.
