About the Role:

The Mathematics Teacher will teach Mathematics to students ages 11-16 (Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3), delivering the English National Curriculum with excellence. This role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in the school's extra-curricular program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics across the age and ability range of 11-16 year olds
• Develop, maintain and stimulate students' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in Mathematics
• Plan lessons that challenge pupils and ensure high levels of interest and achievement
• Use effective questioning and Assessment for Learning techniques
• Write schemes of work and maintain documentation
• Mark and monitor pupils' work, regularly setting targets for progress
• Assess and record pupils' progress systematically
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and parents
• Participate in up to two extra-curricular activities weekly
• Contribute to whole school planning activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 preferred
• Experience delivering the English National Curriculum preferred
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Ability to develop a stimulating and engaging classroom environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
