This academy is Hong Kong's leading provider of US test preparation services. With over 150 students scoring above 1500 on the SAT and 34 on the ACT, they pride themselves on their expertise, professional approach to teaching, and readiness to help students handle academic pressure in positive and productive ways. They are looking for full-time, dedicated teachers to join their team, and they are very happy to provide professional training and proprietary workbooks to support new teachers' success in the classroom. Their students consist mostly of native or near native English speakers who attend leading international schools in Hong Kong, and their tight-knit team of teachers hails from the US, UK, Hong Kong, and more. While their preference is to hire experienced teachers, they are open to training less experienced teachers provided they demonstrate clear communication skills, a history of academic excellence, and a willingness to learn in a new, international environment.

Responsibilities:

Teaching one-on-one and small group classes, both in-person and online
Undergoing teacher training to learn our proprietary approach to test prep
Preparing lessons according to the individual needs of students
Assisting with drafting, editing, and proofing our group course materials
Helping with marketing, web and mobile development, and admissions consulting projects (optional for those who are interested)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a globally recognized university (required)
At least one year of experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring (required)
Fresh graduates with strong academic records from a recognized university can be considered
TEFL certificate or equivalent (required for Hong Kong Visa)
95%tile+ score on either the SAT or ACT (preferred)
Experience teaching standardized examinations (preferred)
Degree from a top 50 US or top 100 global university (preferred)
