The mission of Francophone Charter School of Oakland is to provide a French dual-immersion curriculum to a diverse community of students. Our goal is to develop bilingual and bi-literate global citizens who are open-minded and value intellectual curiosity, personal integrity, and creativity.  We are truly an international community with students, families, and staff from all over the world. 

We serve approximately 330 students in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade and are always searching for qualified French teachers to help us realize our mission.  We are not a French (from France) school and do not teach the French national curriculum---rather, we are very intentionally a Francophone school; we actively recruit teachers from throughout the French-speaking world to ensure that our teaching staff is as diverse as our our students.
