Spanning 500 square miles, Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District is a rural district that serves the educational needs of Birnamwood, Hatley, Eland, Wittenberg, Bevent, Pike Lake, and Elderon. Currently, the district consists of one high school and two elementary/middle schools using a PreK-5, 6-8, and 9-12 configuration. The cultural diversity of our student body consists of a 1,155 population that is 84.8% White, 6.2% Hispanic/Latino, 4.7% American Indian or Alaskan Native, 3.2% two or more races, 0.5% Asian, 0.3% Black or African American, and 0.2% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. 41.5% of students are economically disadvantaged and 14.6% is students with disabilities.
