Job Description

SKY English School is seeking a passionate and energetic native English speaker to join our team in Tsukuba for a 1-year renewable contract starting Winter 2025. We specialize in teaching young learners using the dynamic Pacific Language School (PLS) method of “serious fun,” with classes capped at six students.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A native English speaker who loves working with kids

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field

  • TEFL/TESOL certification (CELTA/DELTA preferred)

  • Experience teaching children (any subject)

  • A team player committed to learning and growing as a teacher

  • Someone curious about Japanese culture and life in Japan

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach English to small groups (mainly preschool & elementary students)

  • Prepare lessons, attend meetings, and participate in training and events

  • Support school operations, including light cleaning and parent communication

What We Offer:

  • Monthly salary: 300,000 JPY + performance bonuses

  • 40-hour work week

  • Paid training with PLS in Tokyo

  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support

  • Vacation: 2 weeks in August + ~10 days over Christmas/New Year
