Job Objective

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan seeks passionate and qualified ESL teachers to join its mission of enhancing English language education in public schools.

This role provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage while fostering students' academic and personal growth in a structured and supportive learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students (ages 11-16).
Teach up to 20 academic hours per week plus 6 hours of English-related extracurricular activities (ECAs).


Conduct 2 hours of workshops for co-teachers, fostering professional development and collaborative learning.


Utilize the Cambridge "Prepare" curriculum, including teacher guides, student books, and workbooks.


Adapt teaching methods to suit students language proficiency levels, ensuring an interactive and student-centered approach.


Work closely with local co-teachers, promoting cultural exchange and collaborative lesson planning.


Administer assessments and track student progress in line with school requirements.
Maintain discipline and a positive learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in TESOL, TEFL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification preferred (required for those without an English-related degree).
  • C1 English proficiency for non-native English speakers (proof required).
  • Minimum 1 year of ESL/EFL teaching experience (secondary/high school level preferred).
    International teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Passion for language education and cultural exchange.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Adaptability, patience, and a commitment to student growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with local teachers and administration.


    Additional Job Details

    Teaching Hours: Monday-Friday (Up to 5-7 sessions per day).
    Class Size: Small groups of 15-18 students, with co-teachers supporting your work.
    School Locations: Nationwide placement, considering teach
