Learn MoreEmirates National Schools (ENS) was formed by Presidential Decree and is owned by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. ENS first opened its doors in 2002 in Mohammed Bin Zayed City. Since 2002, ENS has grown to six campuses. Three campuses serve the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with locations in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Ain City, and Abu Dhabi City. ENS also includes campuses serving the Emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah and our latest campus is in Dubai. Emirates National Schools (ENS) focuses on curricula from the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education program for Arabic, Islamic and UAE Social Studies along with the American Common Core Standards in English, Math, and Science.
This curriculum is delivered through the International Baccalaureate Organization framework for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Years Programme (DP). Students earning 53 credits or more in grades 9-12 may earn an ENS American Diploma. Emirates National Schools (ENS) also offers College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) courses for grades 11 and 12. Students earning AP course credits will have their courses recognized worldwide by colleges and universities. Students may also work toward an IB Diploma Program (IBDP). Colleges and universities recognize the IBDP in over 128 countries. ENS as an IB World School recognizes the essential role that education prepares students for life and has adopted the IB learner profile through all grade levels to promote teaching and learning rich in core academic and co-curricular activities. As part of the accreditation process through Cognia, Emirates National Schools (ENS) works with essential stakeholders through a continual review and improvement planning process.
All campuses and schools have school improvement committees that engage in the planning and implementing of school improvement activities. These committees advise management on changes in school operations and educational programs and serve as essential communicators on ENS's programs to community members. We encourage your participation to improve the school, and you may find out more by contacting your school's Campus Director or Head of School. Emirates National Schools strive to ensure students are prepared for today’s and tomorrow’s world through our vision to prepare future leaders through educational innovation while treasuring our cultural heritage. We look forward to supporting your family’s education.
